Ryan Spear, president of Hotels for Trial, provided an insightful prediction to remote, hybrid and tech-enabled work arrangements in 2023. Here’s his quote:

“From 2021 to 2022, we saw many courts return to full capacity, but the adaptation of virtual court was still prominent, usually via telephone or videoconference. Some judges see virtual trials as a viable solution, but others, specifically litigators, feel that there is something lost when trials are remote. The adaptation for virtual trial technology will continue to evolve as it improves the efficiency of courts, but it will never fully replace in person trials.”
